No, its not a cinematic masterpiece but it is awesome. I loved the characters they sketched out; strong black female without reverting to stereotype, smart black cop who doesn't toady to superiors, straight forward bad guys that are bad.
Now this is something I would like to see remade but not with Stacey Dash.

Unfortunately I only caught the final part of this movie late last night on BET TV but what I saw sure was hilarious and more interesting than many other more popular blaxploitation movies.
So now I'm going to go look for this gem on either Amazon or Ebay.
I had it on the DVR from last night on the Bounce channel. It was certainly unique. Mother Jefferson from The Jeffersons and Mac from Night Court in it too. It was a lot of fun.
I was not that impressed with the movie... Except Marki Bey. She was not just beautiful, but she had some serious acting skills.
Shame she didn't act all that much, but sounds like she took her craft very serious and it shows.

I met her about ten years ago when I was working for Bank of America. I recognized her immediately and asked why she left films. She replied that she made the mistake of getting older. They just stopped asking.
Marki was one of the most interesting people I've met. She's funny, sweet and comes across like she really cares what you have to say. I liked her a lot.
