How did you manage that. It was released and reviewed in 1976. Stories about snuff films were planted in newspapers at the end of 1975. Your memory is going.

Dude you may have see this in 74 as it was originally titled Slaughter (made in 71) it had the final scene tacked on later when it was re-released as Snuff. A great example of a fantastic piece of crap !!!

Snuff was premiered in January 1976 in Indianapolis. Not October 1975. The final scene for the film was not shot until the end of 1975 so Oldeskool could not have seen it much earlier, even if he knew Shackleton personally, and i am sure he would have remembered that screening. Shackleton liked running round with other people's wives, not their children.
The film Slaughter was shot in Argentina WITH NO SOUND because the cast was Argentinean (hence NOT English speaking)with the notion of dubbing dialogue on later. So, maybe he saw a silent version? Or maybe someone went to all the trouble and expense of putting a dialogue track on to the film because they saw great market potential for it?
Who knows?
