Noiret's character (Thomas) stupidest ever !

He welcomes happily a total stranger, who seems to be on the run.
He lets him take his own gun.
He disregards the violence the stranger is showing.
He overlooks completely the tension and fears his wife expresses regarding the stranger.
He will not let him get away by his own, regardless the risks for him and his wife.
He has full faith in all the stranger says, considering him as a friend, even though he knows David the stranger for only a few days, and does not know his background...

Come on, I know 1974 was probably the peak of flower power, and that careless hippies would maybe help some stranger, but this is way far-fetched: Thomas never ponders the risks vs benefits from the situation!

Very cynical to call such a character Thomas, completely gullible, as his Saint was the other way around...
