i agree w/ texasblondie45. i'm 58 y/o and watched this movie in the late '70's on HBO late at night alone.

like texasblondie45 said i think about it off and on and wondered how this was ever green lighed. I'm not an easily offended person but the kid's high degree of sexual tension was over the top and if i remember correctly the mother was down w/ it. i figured that kid could've used that energy planning to get off that f...king island and find his own sex.

if i remember correctly the kid made several attempts at killing dad before finally getting him

like a poster said no need to spoiler if you're lucky enough to find this movie in its original form, they chopped it up PC style.

I don't think it was over the top. The boy had no chance of ever achieving sexual satisfaction and he was suffering to the point of desperation and physical pain. As a matter of fact, I remember feeling like that.

I agree, and I think they knew there was no escaping, and she probably didn't want to deprive him of the activity that brought him to life. And yes, she was on top of him, so she wanted it just as bad as he did.
