Conform or Deny - Bruce Lee's involvement

I read/watched something not too long ago that stated Bruce Lee did uncredited choreogragy of the first fight between Peter Sellers and Burt Kwouk. Is there any truth to that?

If this is not true, what is the actual truth? Perhaps Sellers or Kwouk briefly studied under Lee at the time and used some of his techniques in the fight?

It perhaps just plain conjecture someone threw out there...

Thanks!

Bruce Lee died in 1973 and this movie didn't come out until 1975 so it was likely shot in 1974. I would say it is just a rumor.

Highly doubtful. There is no actual discernable kung-fu in the scenes at all. If Bruce Lee choreographed it, it would not have been right for this kind of movie as they would have been beautifully choreographed Jeet Kune Do scenes. The scenes with Clouseu and Cato are made purely for comic effect and thats it. Most of it is just throwing each other against walls and over tables. The reason it works really well is because is its so blatently over the top and Sellers just made it up as he went along!

the fact that clouseau regularly fight a martial artist named cato is a clear homage to green hornet, who's sidekick was named cato, cato was played by Bruce Lee on the green hornet tv show.

Actually, Cato first appeared on "A Shot in the Dark" in 1964.
