John Saxon doesn't vet any better than this

The premise sounds really silly, but I haven't seen it. I like Saxon, and might watch it just because he's in it. Maybe it's good.

Depends on what you want. This is Roddenberry's second attempt at a new series following the failure of Genesis II to get picked up. It's the same basic premise, but with more action and less emphasis on the pacifism of the organization called Pax.

It's Star Trek without the starship. Pax is like the Federation. The Sub Shuttle gets the "team" around rather than a starship and transporter. The alien worlds are replaced with isolated post apocalyptic communities. This version even has "Klingons" in the group of militaristic mutants with a bony ridge up their skulls. Never seemed like a great idea for a series to me without serialized story telling. But it is a watchable and entertaining if you know what to expect.

Yes, watch it if you like Star Trek TOS. Saxon is very Kirk-like in this.
