Any other erotic war movies?

Does anyone know any other erotic war (especially nazi) movies? It's really hard to find good erotic movies, if any at all.

reply

Try Cross of Iron (1977) contains an erotic scene with Senta Berger in the hospital and later German soldiers come across a naked Russian woman soldier washing in a barrel.

reply

Wow, thanks a lot! I'll definately watch it. =)

check out the new 'black book' by paul varhoeven (sorry spelling probably incorrect). i think you'll really like that.

other 'erotic' war movies:

'the damned' had some stuff in it that was pretty erotic, as well as 'salon kitty' (which isn't as artist as the other movies mentioned here, but interesting none the less.)

thats all i can think of at the moment.

i wish there were more movies like this to be honest. though super skinny girls with short hair in erotic war movies probably is asking for a bit much.

I really want to see Black Book, i saw a commercial a while ago, but they don't have it in my rental place. I guess I'm just going to have to find it somewhere else. ;)
The Damned.. are you talking about this one? http://imdb.com/title/tt0064118/

Thanks for more movies!

'black book' just came out on dvd (9-25-07 in america) so you should be able to find it easily enough. if you are into these types of movies you should just buy it, i think there is no chance you won't like it.

that movie led me to an earlier film of his 'Soldaat van Oranje' which is pretty good as well.

yeah that is 'the damned' i mentioned. charlotte rampling is pretty good in that and there are some other great scenes as well.

also 'the english patient' and 'enemy at the gates' kind of qualify. they are not nearliy as subversive as some of the others mentioned earlier.

Oh yeah, i saw announcement, i'm very excited =) I'll watch it in couple months, because i'm cheap)) I don't generally buy movies, but I do have 2 war movies (and 1 documentary) out of 10 dvds i bought altogether... if this is as good as those two, i would be so happy =)

I liked English Patient, i'd give it 7 out of 10, not enough to buy)
Enemy At The Gates - I only saw half of it which was really good, now that you mention it, i should rent that!

I wonder what's your favorite war movie? mine is Europa Europa

i've actually never seen "Europa Europa" but i just bumped it to number one on my netflix queue i'll tell you what i think, i've always wanted to see it, so i'm pretty excited now.

my favorite war movies are as follows:

'Das Boot', 'come and see', 'cross of iron', and 'where eagles dare' are some of my favorites. i also liked 'apocalypse now', though i would admit that if Walter Murch does the sound design i'm going to be interested (his sound design in thx-1138 is still pretty progressive and fantastic). i also liked 'paths of glory'.

i don't know what i would put as my favorite war movie, since i think each war makes for a different movie. for example i really can't compare 'platoon' with 'the general' then talk about 'saving private ryan', so its hard. but if i had to pick one war movie to watch and be done with it i may pick 'cross of iron' and i don't even think its the best movie of the ones i've listed, i just really like it. i guess it has something to do with my Sam Peckinpah obsession.

my thoughts on 'english patient' and 'enemy at the gates' are similiar to yours. i also recently saw 'army of shadows' by jean-pierre melville if you get a chance watch that one. like most of his movies, it is superb.

i've seen several of the mentioned movies since then:
black book - fantastic
platoon - really good movie
apocalypse now - i read the book first and both (movie and book) are good, although movie is somewhat different from the style i like... very dark. they did a great job from the book
the damned (la caduta degli dei) - i didn't get it and it's not really erotic... except maybe that gay-guy's scene, which wasn't enough for me =(

i'll soon watch cross of iron (was kinda hard to find) so i'm excited about that =)
still in the list are:
soldaat van oranje
come and see
where eagles dare
...and some others))

i also enjoyed two skinhead movies few days ago:
romper stomper - great complement to american history x
the believer - i like the educational way in which they talked about jewish religion... and the philosophical aspect is good, the main character is quite interesting

saving private ryan - i really don't like tom hanks, but on second thought the movie is not bad (i just can't get past tom hanks, he annoys me)

i think i missed the mentioning of "salon kitty"! now i'll try to find it and watch it

you'll love 'Salon Kitty' i think.

i've wanted to see 'Romper Stomper' for a while, can't find it.

finally saw "europe Europa' not sure if you recommended this, good movie though. i liked it a lot.

a few more to add to the list though maybe not erotic:

'army of shadows' maybe my favorite movie about war (but not a war movie)... its fantastic. very bleak.

'decision before dawn' is great too.

kudos on 'the believer' that is a great movie.

europa europa is one of my favorite movies about war)) also i forgot to mention "cabaret" - one of my favorite now. liza minnelli is fantastic, one of the best actors i've ever seen

i just watched movie "bent" - also very good movie

never heard of "army of shadows" or "decision before dawn" before, so thanks for new suggestions))

I didn't like Salon Kitty. I can't believe how badly it's made. I'm sure it could've been done much better. All the "sexual tensions" that I think they were trying to do don't work at all. The pauses are awkward. I think the only reason it has any popularity is because there are no other movies like it.

I did like the scene with a lot of naked people in the beginning. The scene with women in cells with weird men is interesting, but it could've been much better.

"erotic" and "war" is possibly the strangest combination of terms i've ever thought of...

Lust Caution (aka Se, Jie...it's a Chinese movie) is a movie that has some similar themes to The Night Porter...it's about a spy who ends up being forced into this s&m relationship with the man that she is spying on. It takes place during WWII I believe. I thought the movie was pretty good.

Erotic and War is a paradox of sorts.
If you like it, try Mediterraneo (Gabriele Salvatores). Its about some guys discovering that it is better to make love than to make war. Wonderful film.

The Night of the Generals (1967)
The Marriage of Maria Braun (1979)
Bizalom (Confidence) (1980)
Eye of the Needle (1981)
The End of the Affair (1999)

Try "Joy Division" (2006), there are a couple of erotic scenes in WW2 between a Hitler Youth boy and Bund Deutscher Madel girl in a bathroom which is kind of cabaret style eroticism. Later in the film there is a dark interogation scene where several British military intelligence men force a German woman to strip naked.
