I have searched the ends of the earth for this movie. Beause it was made for TV, it likely nevr saw the light of day on VHS or DVD. I saw it in high school in the late 70's for a class and the school had it on beta-max. I even contacted the school. Since it was a private shool and I make alumni gifts to them, I figured they would try to hook me up. To my dismay they no longer use the movie for that particular class and no longer have the copy.
Who knows, maybe I'll stumble upon it by accident at a dollar store where they sell all those b-moies on DVD for 50 cents.

I feel your pain! I too want a copy of this, I saw it when i was 11 years old with my mother and watching her cry at the end ... drunk herself :(
Now here i am ... I dont know why after all these years later but i still recall this film when my own demons catch up to me, i think on that movie and the amazing performance from "Mr Potts"

Absoulutely devastating. As a recovering alchoholic, four years sober, I don't think I've ever seen a film so--excuse the pun--sobering. It's like a sledgehammer between the eyes for those of us who've battled this disease. My wife would tell it's true as well for those who've loved someone who suffered from alcoholism. The Morning After is brutal in depicting the reality of what happens to so many who 'never make it back".

I did a Yahoo search (not google) and got a good color DVD.
