Where did they get these actors?


It seems like that got these guys right out of the backwoods somewhere. A lot of the parts seemed to be real locals---at least they seemed authentic to this Yankee.

well james mitchum is robert mitchums son

and hunnicut was in many westerns and western tv shows

so there not all backwoods locals

You've never seen Kiel Martin on Hill Street Blues? Also Arthur Hunnicutt had a long career in TV and movies and James Mitchum is Robert Mitchum's son. I know you yankees are somewhat 'sheltered' but come on now.

I think he meant all the people in the film who were not the 2-3 main actors. Jeez, jump down the guys throat! The people in the bar etc, seemed like local color to me as well.

Most of the people in the bar scene were locals from Atlanta that liked to ride motorcycles on the weekend and had white collar jobs during the week. I know because I was in that scene - not a speaking part.
