An incredibly intense film

For one week in October 1962 the world teetered on the brink of World War III. The Missiles of October puts you into the middle of it, from the brink to cool heads pulling us back.

True, from what I've read about it. We were lucky JFK won in 1960 and not Nixon because I don't think Nixon would have resisted the military leaders asking for an invasion of Cuba.

You are probably right but not in the way you intended.
Nixon as president would not have pulled the plug on the Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961, which Kennedy did, which would have meant that Castro would not have been there to be a stooge for the soviets to put the missiles there in 1962.
