How did William Devane NOT Win An Emmy For This?!?

I remember seeing this and thinking damn, he did a great job!

He really was quite excellent as JFK. The only ones that come close are Bruce Greenwood and Martin Sheen.

Because the arguably best actor in the world did a mini-series that year, Laurence Olivier. It was nominated for a bunch of Emmys, winning 1 for technical direction.

Of all the actors I've seen portray JFK Devane was not only the best but I also think he bears the closest resemblance to JFK.
