In the originall novel,he is stated as 'Spanish Catalan' and 'Cuban'. But is he British in the film version (with a Spanish surname)?
Cuban and British in the movie, probably raised just by his mother hence the surname

... is he British ...I think in the film he was supposed to have a Cuban father and possibly a British mother, although in his conversation with Bond on the island he used the term, "You British" to him.🐭 share
