So this movie basically invented the show Fantasy Island

A lush, isolated island, with Herve Villechaise as the trusty man-servant to the tall, dapper host. Aside from Ricardo Montalban being a benign host and not a high-price assassination, am sure the producers of FI used this movie as a kind of template.

It's really too bad that we never actually got to see Ricardo Montalban as a Bond villain considering that his most iconic character besides Mr. Rourke, is arguably Khan Noonien Singh on Star Trek.

Don't forget his fantastic performance as Vincent Ludwig, the villain in The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988).
