Why is Octopussy in this???

Well Shane Rimmer played 4 separate characters, Charles Gray was Blofeld and a man who was killed by Blofeld, Robert Brown was M and Admiral Hargreves (although I prefer to think of them as the same character), Joe Don Baker was Whitikar and the Felix Leiter rip off, the Chinese girl Bond was with at the beginning of YOLT was also a contestant in Casino Royale. So yeah it's not that uncommon.

she was also an extra in "a view to a kill", setting some record then i guess, i'm glad she returned for a much better role in "octopussy" after this, the movie is titled after her for goodness sake (she doesn't appear until far in to the movie though if i recall right), after her sad fate in this. i'm surprised how many doesn't like this movie, i find it quite rich with few dull moments and i'm glad the redneck sheriff from "live and let die" returns speaking of re appearances. there's yet another re occurring actor in this, marc lawrence as the gangster who also played in "diamonds are forever". i don't know why, but re using same actors in different roles in the franchise doesn't bother me, same thing with "the twilight zone radio dramas". other examples like this in the bond franchise, charles gray (you only live twice and diamonds are forever) and jaws also returned but playing the same role, and i just learned barbara bach were suppose to return in her old role for a part in "a view to a kill". m's temporary office looks really far out in this.

More accurately, the question is "Why Ms. Anders was in Octopussy?", since Golden Gun came first.

Its a plot hole in Octopussy since neither recognize each other in that film
