Did 007 ever send the thousands of dollars to the little boy?

007 commits himself to a deal to give the little boy thousands of dollars to speed up the boat, then throws the kid off (to keep him out of harm's way, but still he kicks him off).

We never see the boy. I don't know how the British Secret Service could ever find the boy to pay him, but I wonder if Bond at least made the attempt.
