FABULOUS musical. Lucy just right. Lansbury would have been miscast!!

I think this is a grand musical film. Regardless of what others say, Ball was just the right actress for this part, and with box-office considerations too. OK, she was a little too old. So what? Lansbury was just all wrong. Veddy English and has a jerky musical style. Warners was right to cast Lucy. And who the hell cares about all those old drag queens who imitate Lucy or Bea Arthur?
