what a great way to save money!

With this film's low budget, what better way to cut production costs than fill up twenty minutes with a highlight reel from Vincent Price early 60's career. Also, what a clever way to claim that both Boris Karloff and Basil Rathbone are in the film. When I first saw this I was amazed to see Basil Rathbone's name in the opening credits since he had already been dead for a couple of years by the time this film was released. I couldn't wait to see what kind of performance a dead guy would turn out. I know that the footage from the earlier Price films is just a cheap way to cut corners and fill time, but this film is all about nostalgia so I think it really works within the ,ovie. I also really love all of the films shown so revisiting those films while watching this one was quite enjoyable.

"Targets" does something similar. I guess that re-using footage is a standard modus operandi for Roger Corman and American International.

I found it wholly unrealistic how much time the movie clips from Paul Toombe's career got during the Parkinson TV chat show scene.

Normally a clip would last 10-20 seconds but the Toombe's clips seemed to go on forever.
