Salvageable ?

I happen to like this flic for a number of reasons though as a rule I largely detest "slasher"movies as a rule.

What I like here is Price and Cushing as a duo for starters;Quarry is ok but mostly a token player.

There is ambience and that scores a few points.I like the empathy we are to feel for Vinnie and too I dig the old film clips we see sprinkled throughout the story.

On the downside the tale overall is rather thin and brittle.I like Julia as a ingenue and as a pert and cute relief from the other "goings-on"

Not a strong entry in the genre but certainly as a curio piece of mediocrity it barely passes the mark but granted there is some entertainment present with Spider-Lady and other selected scenes.

I actually like this movie a lot. It feels like a Gothic, elegant, classy slasher film. The set pieces, excellent musical score, and the presence of Vincent Price and Peter Cushing definitely add to that. It's one of my favorite films in Vincent Price's filmography.

One of my least favorite of the genre. Yes, Price brought his usual delicious camp and Cushing is always welcome on my TV, but...

When you realize what the "shocker" ending is going to be the second a character is introduced, it's not going to be a favorite.

It's not a perfect movie but I still enjoyed it
