Am I the only one who cries through like, half the movie?

Seriously, with the touching moments and the Prince's adorable-ness, I just can't contain myself!

No you are not alone. I cried too, although mostly at the end. I also cried after I read the book.

Wear the eye patch, Bret. Wear the funky funky eyepatch..

I second that. You are certainly not alone. I hadn't seen this movie since I was about seven years old. I am now 28 and decided to hunt down a copy on NetFlix and watch it. About half way thru I stopped the movie and said "Oh no! this isn't the story where the little boy gets bit by the snake and dies; is it?". How could I have forgotten something like that???!!! I realized it when I saw him drop from the tree and thus I proceeded to bawl my eyes out until my husband made me swear that the movie never enters the house again. I can't believe I forgot the ending. It's a testament to things you experience as a kid and then as an adult manage to just block out. I even read the book as a kid (or had it read to me by my french teacher) and yet still blocked that painful detail out. But glad to know that someone else cried and I am not the only sap in the house. lol..

I'm sure there are alot of ways I've gone that you haven't.- Stripes

I had to read this book in French class in high school, a few years before this movie was made, and I can't bring myself to watch the film.
Why? Because I cried all over the book. My teacher very kindly let me sit at the back of the class, never called on me to read or answer questions (I guess it was obvious I understood what I was reading) and let me stay after for a few minutes to get a grip before heading off to my next class. Bless you Mlle Gale, wherever you are.
I loved the book and its humor, its commentary on grownups, but oh lord, I cried. Glad to know I'm not alone.

I saw this movie when I was like 7, and it nearly killed me. I remember begging my mom to take it back to Blockbuster for being too sad.

It's such a cute movie though. :)

I cry very hard at the ending. The sad tears began in the scene where the snake bites the Little Prince and by the time it got to the Little Prince's death scene I am just bawling and sobbing so hard.

At least in the final scenes, where the pilot looks up and hears the Little Prince's laughter in the stars, the tears turn then into tears of happiness.
