"Yet another masterpiece by Bresson."

Wow. Are they ALL this BAD?

"Dude, it's Lord Goblin King, not Lord Go Blinking!"

I'm very happy to know that I'm not the only one loving this masterpiece. Every single frame of this film gave me the feeling that cinema is the most beautiful art form on earth. I have seen Monthy Python and the Holy Grail, but to compare the two is to compare orange and apples, they are different and should not be compared in the same way. The emotionless speech and motion of the characters just ignite the feelings of the viewer to a high level of transcendence.

Still, I can understand that most of the people don't like this film, even Bresson's fans seems to be harsh on this one. I just finished watching this film for the second time this month and I found it even more interesting than the first time.

I only watched this for the first time about two months ago and I am only too happy to be the third poster to agree that this film is indeed a beautiful masterpiece.

Its magic has lingered with me such that I find myself frequently thinking/ reflecting/ pondering and ultimately liking the film more and more since I saw it.

A shame very few others have witnessed or embraced 'Lancelot', but at the same time I think it makes the film even more of a personal treasure for those who have.

Saw this at the NFT as it then was back in the 1970s. Just found the DVD at my local HMV and am looking forward to renewing my acquaintance with this film 30 years on.

- That passed the time.
- It would have passed in any case.

I too, saw this film when it 1st came out in the 70's and was blown away by it--- being a fan of such movies like "Knights of the Round Table", it was a totally different and fascinating experience from the lavish, colorful Hollywood versions of the King Arthur legends-- it was like stepping into a completely different world than I had ever seen on screen.I'm delighted to hear it's available on DVD.
