Just saw KILLDOZER

From a tape recorded 1982 or so. This thing still plays and looks good. I had seen this on TV when it originally aired so I remember it well. As fun as it was, I could never figure out why they just didn't dig a large hole and trap it or try to flip it over or something instead of running from it through the whole movie. I mean this thing isn't fast!

I would have jumped on it and strapped myself to the seat and got a good nights sleep. It can't run you over if your on it!

Still a fun movie, and worth a look.

it seemed to be intellegent, and wouldnt drive into a hole. it could just push dirt into a hole to get past it. there was nothing else on the island big enough to flip it over. but the one guy who crawled into the culvert? he should have just stayed on. also, the firts time it took off, the operator cut the fuel line, and the dozer stopped. this established it needed fuel, yet it ran for days later after the mechanic mistakenly fixed it. it would surely have run out of fuel, most eqiuipment holds enough fuel for 12 hours or so. but...it is just a movie. having operated a D9 long enough to drive across a job site and onto a lowboy..its real cool. and ive run several D8's, and the pony motor starter sounded JUST like the D9 pony motor...i thought about that every time i fired one up.

what about the fact the d9'er creeps up on them and they never hear it - it just comes out of the bushes. As for their safety - climbing aboard would have been a good idea - but all clint walker and the gang had to do was go up onto the mountanous terrain in the middle of the island instead of runnin around the flat beachy areas. The black guy who just jumped into the pipe was just stupid - hell everyone knew that that d9 ripper was just gonna track over the cat - still - i saw the classic in about '82 and I have been waiting years for them to put it back on the tv!

I saw this film when it was first broadcast as an "ABC Movie Of The Week". At one point, they comment on the fact that it had been out of fuel for days but was still running. The obvious conclusion is that the alien found a way to power it without gasoline

Well, in the immortal words of Darkwing Duck, 'Lets get DANGEROUS!'

I just watched this film myself and really enjoyed it. I was surprised by the bleak tone of the movie; it's pretty damn grim for a made-for-TV flick. I was also impressed by the nice acting from a solid cast, with Clint Walker the stand-out as the stern foreman.

300 bios and counting.

I like it, too. I've always been a sucker for off- the- wall movies (Roger Corman, Ed Wood, etc.)I'm always willing to them a chance, and consequently, I've found quite a lot of crazy movies that I've enjoyed.

It definitely made an impression on me when I saw it as a kid when it first came out. I recently watched it again for the first time since and I was surprised I still thought it was good! I figured I'd be disappointed......

in truth I been around Cat Dozers 30 + years you at best get around 8 to 8 & 1/2 hours on a tank of fuel if you run it full blast all day long. We use to work 10 hours a day & operators ease up on them during the day but every once in while we get one that been push too hard and run out of fuel around 9 to right before 10 hour quit time.

Haha, I see someone knows their cats. I once ran a D8K ripping in first gear all night, and ran it out of fuel in 7 1/2 hours. You are right about the operating times though.
