so happy I could find this movie 23 years later...

I saw this movie when I was still in grade school when my dad was away on a business trip; the movie was on really late on TV and there would be NO WAY to watch it under normal circumstances but my mom needed company. It must have made a huge impression on me since I kept thinking about the movie for the last two decades! However, I could not remember the name of the movie since it was changed in translation (something about a judge) or anything else about it except the basic plot. It was driving me crazy! Today, after 10 years of searching the web on and off (for hours) with the wrong combination of keywords I finally found the right one! Apparently it must have been an excellent movie...
Now I HAVE to find the DVD...

Couldn't find it on dvd, but at least it's now on Youtube.
