film ending/continuity

When the flat mate travels to the house by train it seems she has made a reasonbly long journey and this is corroborated when she gets inseide. The woman says I hope you haven't had a long journey and she replies yes London. I think the location is supposed to be Norfolk or somewhere in East Anglia judging by the accent of the two old people in the shop and the suggested journey time. Then when she makes the phone call to her boyfried he seems to drive there in about tem minutes! the whole scene is shown in real time, she is not held in a room or goes to sleep so no time seems to elapse how can this be? it really spoils the film in my opinion. There is also at this point one of the worst bits of acting I've ever seen the boyfriend goes up to the young girl in the doorway and asks if there's a clinic nearby and before he's even finished talking she says 'No ergh No and walks off! I can only think that they where running out of time at the location shot and had to do everything in one take.

I'd like to hear of anyone's opinion of the location etc
