Would have liked to have seen him in more of these genre movies. He was an excellent actor and very good as an antagonist.
shareI liked him in this film, but one wonders, who thought this is how a director acts? Not that they can't be pricks, but he seemed so over he top. I believe Fulci was supposedly a bastard to work for.
shareI don't know. Ricardo Freda an Italian horror director was reputed to be a real a__hole and James Cameron is notorious for being extremely hard to work for. I suspect Ireland was playing him as a washed up has-been director who hated doing horror films but had no choice. In real life most directors let their assistant director cuss people out so no one gets mad at the director but the movie they are shooting in HOSC, is very low budget so maybe they can't afford an assistant director.
