Does anyone know...?

...About the house they used in this movie? On the main page it says the movie was filmed in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the filmmakers thank the Salt Lake City historical society at the end of the movie, but does anyone know the specifics? I'm just curious because it is an absolutely gorgeous house (the twisty, multi-flight staircase is so cool) and I'd love to find out more information about it.

Well, some of the interior shots could have been on a soundstage and not the interior of the actual house, but after searching historic places in SLC for the last few minutes I believe it is the Utah Governor's Mansion, also known as Kearns Mansion: http://www.utahheritagefoundation.org/kearnsgame/index.html
That image of the house seems to match and what few shots I can find online of the interior, I see the resemblance in those as well.
You may want to try contacting the historic society to ask them for sure.

Read this review of the new DVD of the movie for the information as well as some very funny stories of the filming which took place among the various office workers typing, etc during the daytime filming.

It was filmed at the governor's mansion. If you google it, it looks the same. I loved the house too. :)

Sorry it was such a long time coming, but thanks! 😀

The (1973) film was shot in the Utah Historical Society on South Temple Street which is currently the home of the Governor (2014).
