The theory also forms part of Philip K Dick's Valis Trilogy, in the Transmigration Of Timothy Archer, which I am confident many Holy Mountaineers will already know.
I now find myself wishing Alejandro had adapted one of Phil's stories. There are scenes in Dick's books in which we seem to be experiencing the machinations of cosmic beings, whose every battle, coupling and magik occur on a different half-glimpsed plane but which somehow insidiously affect us all.
As there are still thirteen years before Mr J reaches 100, there is plenty of time for him to make Ubiq or The Simulacra.
I would prefer he do an animated version of his Dune screenplay along with an adaptation of The Incal as a companion piece. Truly epic stuff there. But that's just me.
