Excessive Nudity..

I watched this in my Humanities class. It was well made, but be warned, there is one scene with extreme nudity and sexual content. I see why the UK rating was X.

What a doofus. Your priorities are pretty f-cked up if that is what bugged you about this documentary. "Hey, little girl running down the street naked after being burned by a napalm attack...put some pants on, for God's sake!"

Unbelievable.

I do find it interesting that on almost every message board for violent movies showing the real-life effects and atrocities committed during wartime, there is almost always at least one obligatory post talking about how they were appalled at the nudity but nothing is said about the war.
This actually reminds me of an incident in my own life. I wrote this really bloody and violent novel with lots of sadistic and graphic violence and then my family read the book and they said that it was a good book but that the language in it was bad. Nothing about the violence or the sadism or anything like that, it was the language that disturbed people.
I think in a lot of ways this American attitude of sexual repression goes along with the attitude of war. You look at the places with the most sexual repression and misogyny you also see that these are often violent and warlike cultures. You don't really see people who advocate nudism and free love usually being the ones going around burning people with liquefied jelly.
But what one poster said definitely rings true. I mean yes little girl I realize your skin was being burned off by napalm as you are running for your life, but couldn't you have taken the time to put some freaking pants on, have some decency for Christ's sake! It only takes a minute to get dressed.
