Interesting to see that all-girl band performing a Doobie Bro.s song

This movie had more than a few eye-opening scenes for me. I love road trip movies, as long as they are intelligently done. "Harry and Tonto" is one of the best "road" movies. It just seems to flow so naturally, and feels so completely uncontrived, unlike so many other attempts at the genre.

Anyway, it was interesting to see that all-girl band performing on that little stage in the Vegas casino where Harry landed. Not a big act, either, just some girls performing a then-popular song by the Doobie Brothers, I think the name of it was "Long Train Runnin'". It seemed totally unexpected, yet so right for the times (early 70's).

I just saw the this movie and that girl band just through me for a loop. Call me a sucker for 70's music but they just sounded awesome. I wish there was some way to get ahold of that song performed by them! It sounds better than the Doobie Bros version. I've searched the net far and wide...does anyone have any info on this band. Even if they were a no name band I am sure they must have existed at some time and there has to be someone out there with a recording or some info on who they were?

Better than the Doobie Bros? As we used to say back in the 70s-

Are you high on something?

All gals and of varying age. Possibly related? The only bummer is that while one was singing, her mike was too far from her mouth but then she moved it up.
