Yaaaawwnnnnn, yawn, yawn...

I rarely stop a movie, but about 20 minutes into this, I was bored, bored, boorrrreeeed. If you had the endurance to watch it, I'm impressed. Whatever intrigued you? I would like to know.

It follows the novel by Fitzgerald. I loved the novel. Fitzgerald said "Daisy's voice was full of money." Mia Farrow captured Daisy perfectly. I love a good story, the plot develops nicely to the devastating conclusion.

You clearly haven't read the book then and I guess will be unlikely to ever do so.🐭

I have read the book many, many times. However, that still doesn't take away from the fact that this 1974 version is pretty boring. Yes, the sets, costumes, cars, jewelry, etc are extremely opulent and and fit the time period very well...AND the music was very much a part of the movie...but still....it was hard to stay focused. Maybe a different Daisy and Jay...and Tom and possibly Jordan. Sam Watterston fit the part of Nick very well.
