Trivia Question: Where was it priemered in '74?

I saw the movie when it priemered at a drive-in theater in Cottage Grove Oregon, pop. 3200, in '74. It was also priemered at a drive-in theater in a small town in New York the same day, before it's general release. I have not seen the movie since then and I was only 14 at the time so my memory is a little hazy, but at the time I thought the plot was hillarious (or was it just the recreational chemicals?). I do so want to find the original version,
Charlie

I didn't know about Cottege Grove Oregon.

I was present at what I thought was the world premiere of "Good to See You Again, Alice Cooper" at the Towne Theater (not a drive-in) in Endicott NY in 1974. The Cooper organization opened the film there, because the local Arena (at nearby Bighamton had banned the group from appearing at what would be the last ever tour of the original band. I can only assume that something similar happened in oregon.

The concert footage is awesome, but if you thought that the comedy scenes were hilarious, my friend, you must have been seriously *beep* up on something. The original comedy scenes starring Fred Snoot as "Herr Director" (whatever happened to him? His name does not respond to googling... could I be mistaken?) were terrible, although the opening scene with Alice singing "The Lady is a Tramp" was pretty funny. Those scenes were excised from the version that is available today, so the film that we saw in 1974 has become something of a rarity... and deservedly so!

If you're searching "Fred Snoot" then of course you're not going to get any results. His name is Smoot with an M.... wait you still don't get anything... I feel so bad for the guy, that's a pretty obscure last name and he hasn't really done anything... what did happen to him?

Sign upon the bloody line, drop of yours, drop of mine... nothing's free.
