When Toby hits the freeway offramp light standard he was severly shaken up. Nowdays CGI would have been used.
Going through the Cadillac car lot crossways and hitting all those new cars was not supposed to happen and it caused thousands of dollars worth of damage. Other scenes in the agency were staged correctly though.

To set up the crash at Moran Cadillac, oil was put under the tires of the parked Caddys. When they filmed, it worked too well, and the cars slid into each other. Halicki had to buy all the damaged cars.
