Help!!

Is this the film where, near the beginning, a princess is given a gift of something like a doll's house with a small figure inside. Then, while she's asleep the figure grows into a large monster which kidnaps her at the behest of some evil doer? If this is not that film then does anyone know the name of the correct film? - I remember seeing it a couple of times during Christmas Holidays when I was a child but don't remember the name. Thanks.

Ah, that's not this movie, and it's not a Sinbad movie. The one you remember is called "Jack the Giant Killer," starring Kerwin Mathews. It's a half-decent Sinbad knockoff with some interesting effects and things.

roddmatsui, I had a look on youtube under 'Jack The Giant Killer', to see if I could find anything that rang a bell & found exactly the scene I remembered from my childhood. I've been trying to track this film down for years & finally know the name, so a thousand thank yous.

the previous poster is correct in that Kerwin Matthews was in a movie "Jack the Giant Killer" with a plot similar to the one described. HOWEVER, he also starred in a Sinbad movie with much the same premise...this one:

Jack the Giant killer and another movie The Magic Sword were both produced to compete with Sinbad but based in English Mythos

The armature (jointed wire frame inside the puppet) used for the giant in Jack the giant Killer was in fact the same armature inside the 1930's king Kong
