Golden gem of a film!!!

On a viewing only last year...this film is powerful, authentic, rough and realistic and has a good movie score!! Peter Hunt sure was a great director. Watch the opening scene when we follow the miners down in the shaft to the mines, what normally would be a five second clip, this takes 30 secs,just so as the viewer appreciated just how long it takes to go down into a mine shaft...
Roger Moore at his best...(Along with THE WILD GEESE)this hard hitting powerful performance that must surely rate as one of his best screen performances since THE SAINT.
