Why no blu ray?

When the boom of stuff that came out from Kraken Releasing, the Toho Godzilla Collection, and Tokyo Shock, why did Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla get completely glazed over? It's not included on the 2012 DVD collection with Terror of Mechagodzilla either. Isn't this one a fan favorite? What gives? If I'm not mistaken, this is the only Godzilla film that hasn't been re-released recently.

It's more-or-less in rights limbo right now, it seems. TriStar and Sony's rights to this film expired back in 2005 and reverted back to Toho. While Toho sold the rights to some of TriStar and Sony's old licensed films to Kraken Releasing and renewed Sony's license on a few others, this film and Son of Godzilla are both currently without a U.S. distributor.
