Mafia, Mafia, Mafia: Three Times in Part II

The word appears three times, all during the senate hearings.
In the original it does not appear at all, reportedly out of respect for actual mobsters who consulted in its making.

Why then was it okay in the sequel?

I think the setting of the hearings probably made it impossible to avoid the word entirely.

The mafia didn't use the word because they claim the mafia doesn't exist. The Senators claim it does. That is why it is said during the hearings.
