Has there ever been a more perfect film?

It doesn't have a single bad scene.

It's only a state of mind.

No.

reply

I think part one is more "perfect", but I like part two better.

reply

I'll second that.

I'm afraid that you underestimate the number of subjects in which I take an interest!

reply

It's definitely my favorite film.

Iron Maiden is bigger than Jesus.

Not to me, no.

Still #1 on my all-time list.

Wait a minute... who am I here?

reply

Yes. Sunset Blvd.& Forbidden Games Well-acted, scripted, directed...they're also about something; they have a theme. They also make excellent use of irony and symbol.

reply

"Sunset Blvd." and "All About Eve"

reply

Agreed. And ditto Goodfella's, Schindler's List, The Battle of Algiers (1965) Los Olvidados (1950) Simon of the Desert (1965)

reply

Diane Keaton keeps it from being perfect. The absolute nadir, IMHO. In a comedy, specifically Baby Boom, she is perfection.

On the Waterfront and Godfather I...they are perfect.

I think I'll have a large order of prognosis negative.

reply

The Godfather.

Wendy? Darling? Light, of my life!

reply

Yeah tons, tons and tons of movies better than this boring crap.

reply

Yes, the original.
