Yes. Sunset Blvd.& Forbidden Games Well-acted, scripted, directed...they're also about something; they have a theme. They also make excellent use of irony and symbol.

Agreed. And ditto Goodfella's, Schindler's List, The Battle of Algiers (1965) Los Olvidados (1950) Simon of the Desert (1965)

Diane Keaton keeps it from being perfect. The absolute nadir, IMHO. In a comedy, specifically Baby Boom, she is perfection.

On the Waterfront and Godfather I...they are perfect.

I think I'll have a large order of prognosis negative.
