...and firstly I'd like to say how great the restoration on such an obscure little film looks... I'm really happy it looks as good as it does.

On to the film itself... I gotta say, and I've only seen it once so far, I really, really enjoyed this film.

I thought the Lorelei's attacks, when they occured, were quite savage and sudden... but despite this the film did feel very old fashoined, and quaint, with a fairly sedate pace, which made me enjoy it all the more... the locations were great too.

And finally... the ending, I loved the ending... how often do we see a happy, almost moving ending in a horror film, not very often that's for sure... but that's what made me enjoy this film most of all.

Anyone else seen this?, what are your thoughts?...

Great little film, yeah. I preferred it to "Tombs of the Blind Dead" (generally regarded as De Ossorio's masterpiece), which I thought was genuinely frightening but often unnecessarily brutal. "The Lorelei's Grasp", on the other hand, had a dreamy, fantastic feel--and while there was obviously a considerable amount of violence, to me it didn't seem overdone. Interesting premise, more than competent execution, hypnotic soundtrack and, like you said, a damned fine ending. (And on top of all that, Silvia Tortosa and Helga Line--the two gorgeous "Horror Express" alums--together again!)
