plot questions please

1. How did Debbie know about her parents? She claimed Jackie told her, but obviously Jackie never told her and tried to protect her from them.

2. Did the father try to save Jackie at the end??

1. I was a little confused by that at as well. When Debbie tells Jackie that she is at the farm Jackie is completely confused and doesn't know what farm she is initially talking about. My best guess is that Dorthy found Debbie or Debbie did some research and found out about her parents. But if either of those are true then why would she lie about it to her father?

2. No, he stood there while Jackie was murdered.

I remember Debbie reading some letter in the film. It could have been that she found an old letter (with the address on it) in Jackie's room or car, or perhaps got it out of the bin. She destroyed it like she didn't want anyone knowing it had been read.

Wasn't Jackie's father kinda shell shocked or (torn between being devoted to Dorothy and loving his daughter and saving her). I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Eddie (Jackie's father) killed himself that evening after not being able to take the fact that his wife and daugther were murderers and having blood on his hands for just putting up with her after all these years...and having his beloved other daugther murdered in cold blood.

There could be any number of ways Debbie knew about her parents. She could have followed Jackie on one of her late night excursions to the farm house.
As stated before Dorothy could have sought her out.

The reason Debbie said that Jackie had told her was so both parents would no longer trust Jackie. Even the father lead Dorothy to believe that Jackie was against her by saying it was Jackie who found the Tarot Cards and was questioning if she was "still well".
All along it seemed Debbie was against her sister and since she "inherited" Dorothy's killing gene it seemed inevitable she would kill Jackie one way or the other.

It seemed by the end of the movie Eddie was just as crazy as his wife and daughter. He believed everything would work out if he just stood by his wife. All other things did not matter. I'm sure if later Dorothy wanted to kill Debbie that the father would have no objections. He was crazy in his own way.
