This is a very powerful and disturbing film. Questions though...

I grew up watching this film. Man is it scary!!!! The creepy old house gave it that slaughterhouse atmosphere

Questions:

1. What was it that Delilah saw (the second girl) behind the curtains. She was trying to leave, after seeing that something wasn't quite right about Mrs. Yates. All the doors were locked. She looks behind a curtain (and the curtain was moving during the tarot reading) and apparently, sees something horrible. Wonder what it was.

2. What was it that opened the gate and looked inside the house?

3. Wonder what Mrs. Yates killed the first girl (the girl/corpse that was laying in the barn).

I've always wondered about this.

'Delia' saw Debbie: Mrs. Yates' daughter who has inherited her Mother's murderous tendencies. The first girl who had her cards read by Dorothy WAS indeed killed by her. Again daughter Debbie was alerted by her Mother (by phone) that she'd had another victim in the house-hence, the gate, the looking through the window, she would have had her own key...

Thanks for the reply. I thought it was dead animals behind the curtain since she talked about the animals. Also, the gate and the window scene, I thought, was just for eerie effects.

wonder if Debbie killed Graham or if Dorothy (or both) did in the living room and then dragged his body up the stairs.

Also, wonder if they got caught.

I'm still trying to find that house in Surry. My auntie and uncle and cousins no of such house near where it was supposedly filmed.

In Steve Chibnall's book 'Making Mischief' the filming location in part for the movie was in Haslemere..
