Regarding films like Coffy and Foxy Brown?

I haven't seen many "blaxploitation" films and I just happen to catch these two for the first time about a week apart. I was wondering if cutting off or blowing off or otherwise doing serious harm to "whitie's" package was a common theme in this kind of movie. The symbolism is about as subtle as a brick through a plate glass window.
