The Apartment

I couldn't help but notice, that for a couple living on a limited income, the Robbins family had a FANTASTIC apartment, and lived in a pretty amazing building. Man, just look at the extremely ornate main staircase, and all the nice architectural details in their roomy dwelling. Heck, I wouldn't mind living there myself!

In the 70's,that building was not much compared to now after NYCs rebirth. The rents were around $250-500 per month compared to $2500-5000 a month NOW!

I think they lived in Brooklyn, which is cheaper than NYC.
..what is more questionable is having a maid on a limited income (suspension of disbelief)

They’re supposed to live in Brooklyn but I think the scene where Pete is fixing his cab in front of the apartment building was filmed on Central Park West.
