Available on DVD

This obscure Spanish/Italian/Mexican crime horror item has just been issued on DVD from Deimos Entertainment on a nifty double bill with the deliciously sleazy "Black Candles."

I enjoy keeping busy. Satan finds work for idle hands.

yes, but much like i've said over on the "black candles" board about that half of the disc, the "evil eye" cut is framed poorly, leaving the black bars at the top and bottom in the frame, meaning that if you don't have a dvd player with some sophisticated settings, you're going to end up with black bars at the top, bottom, and sides of your image on a widescreen television.

the image actually looks a bit better than "black candles" does, but it's still pretty grainy.

The black bars on the right and left of the picture just means that the dvd is non-anamorphic. It was designed for the older 4x3 tv screens, but you still get the full picture, as it was meant to be, with nothing chopped off the sides. It isn't the dvd player, but the older-style dvd format. Most 16x9 tv's have the zoom feature, and that should blow up the picture to fill the screen. I don't mind this flaw, because I'm grateful that such a rare movie like this is available at all. I hope that "Evil Eye" aka "Eroticofollia" gets a proper, restored release someday, as it is a great giallo..
