Love the book!
It's incredibly erotic and extremely graphic. It's been years since I've seen the movie but I do believe the book is better. Well written and tons of naughty details/scenes not present or merely suggested in the film.
shareDefinitely much better. Also I still CANNOT seem to find the original TRUE uncut 105 min version of this film. I've seen many places claiming to have uncut versions but they are all the 90 or 94 min version. Seems to be one of the main cut scenes is the woman smoking a cigarette with her vagina. And the rape scenes got edited in various ways over the years.
shareThe UK DVD release in 2007 is meant to be uncut. As far as I can tell, it contains the 'full' rape sequence in the opium den, which is by far the sexiest scene in the whole movie, so a shame they decided to originally cut that sequence out!
