One of the best zombie films ever!!!

Excellent, excellent, excellent. If a sequel or a remake is the price to pay to make this movie better known. I would agree.

The landscapes and the mood are very very creepy.

Some similar points to night of the living dead (maybe only the end), I guess this movies deserves a better place in the zombie genre. Even at the same level as Night of the Living Dead.

Indeed I thought the film was really good definitely one of the best early examples of the zombie genre.

I just can't agree. I'm an absolute horror nerd who's seen my share of bad films, lol budgrt, foreign, you name it. I think that the 15 minutes or so that actually have zombies are pretty good 70s style gore and style. The rest of the film is just an absolute train wreck of bad dubbing, poor acting, amateur dialog and some of the worst plotting I've seen. This doesn't hold a candle to Romero or Fulci

I don't think it was as bad as you seem to, but I do agree that this was nothing special and rather underwhelming. I have a hard time looking at "ahead of its time" comments given a good amount of zombie films way better made before and around it as well. It was nothing special, but the special effects were nice. There's probably less than 10 minutes worth ever watching again overall though.

I agree. I love the scenery and atmosphere which give it a Gothic feel. It isn't as good as Romero's first three but definitely a fine zombie movie worth any horror fan's time.

For me this is one of the top two zombie films. Alongside Zombie (1979).
