Mary was a menace

SPOILER—SEMI SPOILER—SPOILER

Watched this for the first time today. Most enjoyable, 70's vehicular action film and it's cult reputation is deserved. I sure didn't see the end coming..........jumped right out of my seat. It was also a treat to see that terrific character actor Vic Morrow in the cast, who has always been an asset to every film I have seen him in.

It took me a while to get used to Susan George's character and performance, as I have not generally been impressed by her in the few films I have seen her in. By the films end though, I feel she was the best thing about the film. What a gigantic pain in the a$$ she was and I was thinking constantly, just ditch the b!t@h. Nearly everything that went wrong with Larry and Deke's getaway, was due to her presence. Even when they did attempt to ditch her, they had to go back and get her....... Arrrggggghh!! In spite of all this, she made her Mary real, believable and spontaneous. I felt the most saddened for her by the end and that she felt she needed to get caught up with these 2 losers.

Yes, she was "dirty"!

She was the only one of the 3 that learned anything by the end of the movie, only it was too late.

She reminded me of Goldie Hawn in "The Sugarland Express".
