'Sugarland' and 'Dirty Mary'

Both "The Sugarland express" and "Dirty Mary,crazy Harry" came out in 1974.Both films seem to share a "Bonnie and Clyde"-ish style.Any more couple-on-the run movies from that era come to mind?I was thinking of "Badlands" but I never saw that and I think it was a bit too violent to be in the same category.

"Smokey and the Bandit" is very similar to DMCL in a lot of ways (although it is played as a comedy).

Well I saw this at a drive-in with Vanishing Point. Cleavon Little wasn't in the car with Kowalski but he was still with him.
