Why is this movie so hard to find?

Seriously, I tried looking on Amazon, and the best you can do is a used DVD (which is edited) or a used VHS (which is probably bad quality) or the German version, and they're all at least $30, whereas some crappy 80's movie that probably debuted on Lifetime with the same title is available for like a buck. There seems to be a discrepancy there, what with this movie being known as a cult-classic, hidden-gem, what have you. They REALLY need to release a special edition, because I REALLY need to see this.

Yeah. I have the same copy as Jay. I think it's uncut. It's not really about gore anyways. I like the copy. I even like the cheesy narrator who just appears in the scenes and talks at the camera.

The MGM Double Feature DVD is slightly cut.

I found the MGM Double Feature DVD used for 5.99 today,What a steal!

Again, I would listen to the above posters but, unless this is now OOP I purchased mine at Best Buy when it first came out a few years ago for like $9.99. It is the double-feature with Motel Hell.

The MGM DVD is cut but the German special edition is'nt.You can find this on Amazon or Ebay

The cut scene is pretty horrid and shows Ezra Cobb eating the brains out of a head that has been cut open.

There's a German release out on DVD. It's an UNRATED VERSION and it's out through Legend Home Entertainment. Personally I have searched for this movie on DVD for several years and finallt got a hold of this German release in december. It's a great release with fantastic spacial features (never brfore seen. The release is called "DERANGED - 30TH ANNIVERSARY COLLECTOR'S EDITION".
