She was too scared to think. She was doing her best to be calm. That`s what i think.

Well, she already had her freak out scene when she came into the bedroom hours earlier. Remember, she's been caught, tied up and hid in a closet for hours -- sufficient time to come to grips with her situation and think over her options. She seemed pretty street smart to me. She was trying to gain his confidence by playing along so she could try to escape. Some people have amazing coping mechanisms brought about by the drive to survive.

Did you see those creeps in the bar Mary worked at? She's very used to dealing with old weirdos. That's why she could be so calm in the situation she found herself in.

Yeah, that's what I thought. She wasn't some teenybopper who'd never had to deal with a difficult situation. She was thinking about her next move.

Thanks. That's exactly what I thought. And had she played it otherwise, we surely would have had one of those "Anyone else thinks Mary overacted?" threads.

I think the actress who played her was very pretty and sexy and did a rather good job.

I felt sad that Mary had to die. She was cool, and hot!

I think part of it was that the character was supposed to be smart and quick. But also the actress WAS underplaying it a bit.

She should have showed more emotion. She had more gumpf during the bar scenes that the horror ones.

As the others said, I think she was just trying to plan her escape and didn't want Ezra to be suspicious. I figured she was just playing along and giving him what he wanted until her opportunity to get came along. I really wish Mary could've survived. She was a nice character and the actress that played her did a good job. Sally was a nice girl as well and it was sad to see her die.
