Fake as it gets

The stereotyping of NYC in the 70's is very laughable. DW was made just to grab bucks, like other crime dramas at the time.
Jeff Goldblum is the only reason to watch it because he made me laugh the most.

Some parts of NYC were rough in the 70's, even up to the early 90's. Riverside Park where a lot of this movie takes place was not somewhere you wanted to be alone after midnight.

You lived in Manhattan in the '70s?

You better drop that blade, or you won't believe what happens next, even while it's happening.

reply

You must have been born in the 21st century to not believe N.Y. was like that.

No it not fake and New York was like in 70s,to early 2000s

I wouldn't say it was like this in the early 2000s. I lived there in the mid 90s and it was one of the safest cities in America. It started cleaning up in the late 80s.

Fully agree. Goldblum is a hoot in this!
