Liver and Spaghetti?

I happen to like both liver and spaghetti, but never have I had the two together! Anybody ever tried this? Any good?

Also, I had no idea that Liver could be done like a steak (rare, medium, well done). That was odd.

Rich people food.

You must be dirt poor if you think liver and spaghetti qualify as "Rich people food."

Let's see.....forty years after the film was made, I can walk into the grocery store and buy a box of name brand spaghetti on sale this week for a dollar. Yup, definitely food for the wealthy.

And I am sure that liver is still cheaper than ground round.

What's the Herb Alpert song playing in the background of this scene? I used to know it and can't remember now, I've been checking clips online and haven't come across it yet so any help would be great, thanks in advance :)

I thought it was an extremely strange combination myself. Wonder if it's a variant due to Paul's nation of origin?

reply

Spaghetti Caruso

reply

I love spaghetti, but I'd replace the liver with something that was edible.

reply

Does sound like an odd combination although I can imagine my dad cooking it somehow, even though he doesn't like pasta. :)

reply

Never had it but I know someone who regularly makes liver curry, it looks and smells rotten 👎
